Consultation has concluded
On February 28th 2023, Council adopted a new Downtown Revitalization Plan for the Town of Creston.
The primary purpose of the Creston Downtown Revitalization Plan (CDRP) is to provide a vision and roadmap for future land use and urban design in Downtown Creston. The CDRP will include objectives, policies, guidelines and implementation priorities to guide the Town and community in future decision-making and investment. Downtown revitalization plans typically include topic areas such as Land Use, Transportation, Parks and Open Space, Sustainability (e.g., climate action, stormwater management, etc.), Urban Design, and Placemaking.
The CDRP is guided by a number of Town documents such as the Official Community Plan (OCP), Zoning Bylaw, Age-Friendly Action Plan, Integrated Community Sustainability Plan, Multi-Modal Transportation Plan and other town initiatives including the Canyon Street Retrofit and Market Park.
