Council reviews proposed OCP amendments - April 19, 2022

To proceed with the readings of the new Zoning Bylaw, we need to make some changes to the OCP - this is our first step in the OCP 5 Year Review. On April 19th, Council reviewed the proposed changes at the Committee of the Whole. The suggested changes improve conformance between the proposed Zoning Bylaw and the OCP. The recommended amendments include amendments to Schedule A: Land Use Designations and Schedule C: Development Permit Areas 3-8 to ensure appropriate land use, and policy amendments to clarify the interpretation of land use designations. A total of 15 properties were reviewed, and four policy changes were proposed - check out the Staff report here. At this meeting, staff received direction from Council to proceed with 1st and 2nd readings at the April 26th Regular Council Meeting. Check out the bylaw here.
