Overview

On January 24th, 2023 Town Council adopted the Housing Action Plan which provides actions to further the Town of Creston’s efforts to support and enable more affordable housing in Creston. Staff have created an implementation strategy that outlines the proposed changes, including zoning and OCP amendments, to be brought to Council for further consideration.

    On June 20th, 2023 a Staff Report was presented to Council with proposed changes to the OCP and Zoning Bylaws that were defined in the Housing Action Plan. Council made the decision to postpone a decision to receive further information regarding some of the actions.

    Staff will draft a new report and present it to Council for consideration during the July 18th, 2023 Regular Committee of the Whole meeting. If you would like to attend, join us in Council Chambers at 4:00PM.
