Climate Action - Quick Fact #2
Remember when the Town re-paved 16th and Cook Street?
16th and Cook St. were re-paved using a method called Hot In-place Asphalt Replacement. Essentially, this method of repaving reuses the existing pave. The existing asphalt is heated, cut, and removed from the surface and then mixed with a recycling agent. This new, recycled mix is then paved over the existing surface. This method of paving helps to reduce the need to mine for new asphalt.
